Foundations of My Approach

Attachment & Emotionally Focused Therapy

Everyone has strategies to get their needs met. Often times these once essential strategies become patterns in our life that keep us from connecting and turning toward one another. Attachment and emotion-focused therapy invites us to understand and build compassion for our old patterns, while building new, healthier strategies for connection by identifying our emotions and giving voice to our needs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work

We are made up of many parts that guide us, protect us, and walk along side us throughout our lives and relationships. Sometimes, these parts are loud while other important parts remain hidden, yet to be given an invitation to come out of the shadows and join us in our life journey. By engaging in inner child work, exploration of our parts, and promoting the Self, we can come closer to who we are, what we need, and how we access belonging in the intricacies of our internal and external world.

Somatic

Everything in life is a physical, mental, social, and spiritual experience. Yet, many of us are disconnected from our bodies. I believe that our bodies are vessels of wisdom from which we hold our experiences of pain, joy, belonging, intuition, and information. Through the process of slowing down and noticing, we can uncover a well of resources you already have within you, healing from a foundational level.

Anti-Oppressive

I believe everyone is the expert in their own experience and has the right to safe, affirming, welcoming, de-stigmatizing healthcare. My dedication as a therapist is to provide care, advocacy, and support that is anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirming, body positive, kink-positive, sex-positive, anti-ableist, and is always in the process of learning/unlearning.

I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.

All telehealth sessions are held using HIPAA-compliant technology. All you need is a stable internet connection and a comfortable, confidential place to engage in therapy. If you have any difficulties accessing a safe space for therapy, please let me know.
